AEK Athens 2022-23 Nike Home, Away and Third Kits

Greek side AEK Athens have revealed their new home, away and third shirts by Nike.

The 2022-23 primary design - marketed as being a “limited edition” - is in yellow and black animal print striping, as has been seen before in other colourways, with the nominal primary change featuring a yellow trunk and patterned sleeves and the third boasting a claret tone.

The club crest is full coloured across the wardrobe, as is the main sponsor print, and the home and away shirts share the same black shorts and socks.

Completing the third kit are claret shorts and socks to provide a one-coloured alternative which is likely to see significant game time.

How can two shirts be of the same colour save for the black pattern and be classed as different from one another? They are both YELLOW! Terrible.

Way too busy. The burgundy one looks like Roma. Nike need to do better.

There is a reason for that. It is the imperial color of Constantinople, the capital of eastern Roman Empire, AEK was founded by refugees from there and fly that banner in a way. Roma is also an imperial team, they both have Roman Empire pedigree so to speak .
