AFC Rushden & Diamonds, who play in the Northern Premier League - in the eighth tier of the English football pyramid - have released new versions of shirts worn by their forerunning team, Rushden & Diamonds FC.
The Macron updates of the Olympic Sportswear (OS) designs from the 1998-99 season, when the Diamonds gave Premier League side Leeds United a run for their money in the FA Cup, comprise a white-blue-red-and-black Home and a largely yellow-and-black Away in the same striking style.
Sales of the 25th-anniversary shirts, which carry the branding of original “sponsor” - in fact, the company of owner Max Griggs - Dr. Martens, are hoped to deliver much-needed funding to the phoenix club.
