Ajax and adidas have unveiled a new pre-match collection created in collaboration with Dutch dance music event specialists ID&T, marking the fifth and final release celebrating Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary.
The adidas design captures the energy of Ajax supporters, featuring a thermal-style pattern in blue and orange inspired by the movement and atmosphere of cheering fans. The collection includes a pre-match shirt, reversible training jacket, and matching tracksuit bottoms. Both the shirt and jacket display the club crest and adidas logo, with the city’s three Saint Andrew’s Crosses printed on the upper back.
The concept references the 1990s dance scene, an era when Ajax lifted the UEFA Champions League and ID&T helped shape the city’s global reputation in music and entertainment.
This launch completes a series of kits honouring 750 years of Amsterdam. The home and training collections pay tribute to the city’s flag and its three crosses, the away kit celebrates its relationship with water, and the third kit draws inspiration from the oldest surviving document referencing Amsterdam and its original city seal.
