Major League Soccer and adidas have introduced the 2026 Americana and Canadiana pre-match football shirts, created for use during warm-ups ahead of MLS fixtures in the lead-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Americana pre-match top is based on a white foundation and features an all-over star pattern in blue and red. The graphics vary in size and placement across the front, back and sleeves, with a large blue star element positioned towards the lower section of the shirt. Club crests and sponsor logos are applied to the chest, with the adidas logo placed opposite the badge.
The Canadiana pre-match shirt uses a black base with a repeated maple leaf pattern in red and white. The leaf graphics are distributed across the full surface of the jersey, including the sleeves and reverse. As with the Americana version, the shirt includes a heat-applied club crest and sponsor branding on the front, alongside an adidas logo.
Both designs use sublimated graphics to achieve full coverage across the fabric. The shirts are produced as pre-match training tops rather than match kits and will be worn by multiple MLS clubs during pre-game routines.
The release aligns with preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico, with these designs referencing the national identities of the two host nations represented in MLS.
