Atlanta United have unveiled their 26/27 away kit, known as The Spirit of ’96 kit, produced by adidas for the 2026 and 2027 MLS seasons. The release commemorates 30 years since Atlanta hosted the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, with the design referencing that milestone through colour, detailing and internal graphics.
The new Atlanta United jersey features a light cream (Linen) base combined with green and metallic gold elements. A vertical green panel runs down the right side of the front, incorporating a tonal leaf pattern that references the city’s tree canopy. The Atlanta United badge is rendered in gold, styled to resemble a medal, and is positioned on the chest beneath a single star. The adidas logo and shoulder stripes are also finished in gold.
Across the centre, the American Family Insurance shirt sponsor appears in gold. The ribbed crew neck and sleeve cuffs are trimmed in green. Inside the collar, the roman numerals MCMXCVI and MMXXVI reference 1996 and 2026, marking the 30 year anniversary. The back of the neck carries the ATL initials framed by a laurel wreath graphic.
The new Atlanta United football shirt is completed with matching cream shorts featuring green trim and gold adidas branding to complete the full kit for the next two Major League Soccer seasons.
