AZ Alkmaar have unveiled their 26/27 away kit, produced by Nike for the 2026-27 Eredivisie season and selected domestic and European fixtures.
AZ Kit Design & Inspiration
Inspired by the away strip worn during the club’s 1980/81 championship-winning season, the new AZ Alkmaar jersey features a blue body with white raglan sleeves and a white crew neck collar.
A white Nike logo is placed on the right chest, with a retro AZ crest on the left chest referencing Alkmaar and the Zaanstreek region, along with the club’s foundation year. The AFAS Software shirt sponsor appears across the front in white.
The back of the jersey continues the blue and white colour scheme and includes “1980-1981” detailing below the collar, linking the design to the season in which AZ won the Dutch title for the first time and reached the UEFA Cup final. The shirt also uses retro-styled white numbering, based on the style worn by the 1981 squad.
For Eredivisie and Eurojackpot KNVB Beker away matches, AZ will play without player names on the back of the shirt, as the team did during the 1980/81 season. In UEFA Europa League fixtures, player names will be added in line with European competition regulations.

The new AZ football shirt is worn with matching blue shorts featuring a white Nike Swoosh and the retro AZ crest, while the blue socks continue the tonal matchday look with subtle Nike branding.
