Barcelona 2022-23 Nike Home Kit

This is the new FC Barcelona Home kit for the 2022/23 season, which is inspired by the Barcelona Olympics in the year that the city is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the transformation.

The new jersey harks back to the landmark event and is being presented today, Friday 3 June, under the tagline “The Flame Lives On”.

Its design evokes the spirit of that period of regeneration and redefinition, a time when Barcelona opened up to the world and the world opened up to Barcelona.

The design of home strip evokes the new light introduced to the city of Barcelona with the creation of new spaces and most especially new connections to the sea, an idea that is represented by the different coloured stripes on the shirt, where red alternates with two different shades of blue, one navy and the other lighter. The same navy blue also features on the collar, sleeves, shorts, and socks.

The jersey also includes the logo of the Club's main partner, Spotify, on the front for the first time, as well as a message of solidarity in support of refugees with the UNHCR/ACNUR logo below the number on the back.

Never mess with an iconic kit. It will only end up a disaster.

Should've just use 2016/17 Blaugrana pattern in a mixture of this teamwear design and it will be slightly better.

Are there even any actual 'Football' shirts out there anymore? Ones that actually suit the sport of Football?
Sportswear companies have been taking absolute liberties for far too long in respect to what they give. They think that they can mess with perceived ideas, structure and traditions because they believe that they are the experts in judgement and can't be touched. What they give becomes the rule, law and the last word in 'Fashion'
Nike, stop screwing around and get back to basics. Do your job better.

Have a look at the Cryuff shirt from the 70's then have a look at this. The colours and stripes are all wrong.

Very reminiscent of the 99 halves jersey.

People complaining about tradition obviously have forgotten how often Barcelona have changed up their stripes over the last 25 years

Complaining about traditions in football is like the British government trying to bring back metric measurements - it's too late! It was gone lone time ago and most of us don't even remember them existing.
The traditional roots of football were stripped away long ago. Clubs are businesses, stadiums are real estate investments, owners are aloof billionaires. Kits have long been billboards, so why should anyone care about whether it looks anything like the kits from 50 years ago.
