Bayer 04 Leverkusen have released a special edition football shirt to commemorate 50 years since the founding of the club’s first official fan club in 1976, recognising five decades of organised supporter culture linked to the Werkself.
The new Bayer Leverkusen jersey, produced by New Balance, is presented in white with a classic red crew neck collar and matching red sleeve cuffs. Subtle tonal detailing is integrated across the fabric, referencing historic club elements including the cross motif and earlier crests. On the chest, a retro double badge is applied, recalling the emblem used by the club between 1975 and 1984.
The New Balance logo and BarmeniaGothaer shirt sponsor appear in black, aligned with the monochrome sleeve badges. At the back, Leverkusen is printed above the number, while the player name and number are rendered in a bold black retro-style flock. A Werkself inscription features beneath the rear collar.
Constructed from recycled polyester with elastane content, the shirt incorporates NB Dry performance technology and breathable mesh zones designed for moisture management. The 50 Years of Fan Clubs jersey is also available in an Elite edition, delivered in a presentation box with commemorative pins, a pennant and a numbered certificate.
