Birmingham City 150th Anniversary Shirt

Birmingham City 150th Anniversary Shirt

Birmingham City have unveiled a special 150th anniversary football shirt, produced by Nike, to commemorate the club’s founding in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance. The release forms part of Birmingham City’s official anniversary programme, marking a significant milestone in the club’s long history within English football.

The new Birmingham City jersey revives the club’s “Penguin” design, a nickname associated with shirts featuring a central white vertical panel, with a Birmingham City crest positioned centrally on the chest and a tonal Nike logo and undefeated shirt sponsor applied.

The Blues’ anniversary shirt is constructed using modern performance fabric, offering lightweight comfort and moisture management suitable for matchwear use. A round collar neckline and short sleeves complete the silhouette, while ribbed sleeve cuffs provide a secure fit during play.

This Birmingham City 150th anniversary jersey is paired with matching shorts and socks to form a complete kit configuration.

My maths isn’t great, but if they were formed in 1875 shouldn’t they have they brought out this 150th anniversary shirt in 2025?

Birmingham's classic kit, which all of their kits should mirror. This is to Birmingham what the thick white hoop is to Middlesbrough or white sleeves are to Arsenal or white socks to Chelsea. Their kit USP
