Girondins de Bordeaux have introduced their new Third Kit for the 2025/26 season, produced by Hummel as a homage to the club’s 1995/1996 European campaign, when the team reached the UEFA Cup final after progressing through the Intertoto Cup. That season marked an important chapter in Bordeaux’s history, and the Home shirt design originally produced by Asics now returns as a Third shirt thirty years later.
The Bordeaux football shirt is presented in a red base with vertical blue striping across the front, sleeves and back. A fold over collar in blue sits at the top of the shirt, paired with matching sleeve cuffs. A woven club crest is positioned on the left chest, while the Hummel logo appears on the right. Two chevrons are applied to each sleeve, and a small inscription reading 1995 1996 is placed below the rear neckline to identify the season being honoured. The kit also carries a 30 years mark on the collar as a reference to the anniversary.
The shirt sponsor is omitted from this commemorative release. The jersey is constructed in a lightweight performance fabric with subtle texture visible across all panels and is paired with matching shorts and socks to form a full kit.
As part of the release, Bordeaux produced a limited fanzine containing archival photography and material relating to the 1995/1996 UEFA Cup run. The publication accompanies the first 96 in-store purchases of the shirt at the club’s Galerie Bordelaise location.
