Borussia Dortmund have revealed a special edition Puma football shirt celebrating 100 years of the historic Rote Erde Stadion.
Produced by Puma, the new Borussia Dortmund jersey features a predominantly black base with light tonal detailing across the front. The graphic pattern references architectural elements of the stadium’s entrance gates, including shapes associated with the well known Marathon Gate. The layered pattern runs vertically across the body, creating a structured visual texture inspired by the stadium’s historic metalwork.
The Puma logo appears on the right chest in white, opposite the circular Borussia Dortmund crest on the left. Vodafone is displayed as the main shirt sponsor in matching light colouring. The crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs include thin striped trim that references the running track which surrounds the pitch at the Rote Erde Stadion.
A sandstone inspired colour tone is used for the crest and trim, reflecting the material of the stadium’s outer walls, which have defined the venue since its opening in 1926. The back of the jersey includes the inscription “100 Jahre Stadion Rote Erde”, marking the stadium’s centenary.
Alongside the black match shirt, a light sandstone coloured Goalkeeper version of the design has also been released as part of the commemorative collection. The new Borussia Dortmund football shirt will be worn by the BVB first team in their Bundesliga fixture against Hamburger SV on 21 March, paired with matching black shorts and socks to complete the full kit.
