Botafogo FR and Mizuno have revealed the Botafogo 2026 Home kit, introducing the first home shirt of the new partnership between the Brazilian club and the Japanese sportswear brand.
Botafogo Kit Design & Inspiration
The new Botafogo jersey features the club’s traditional black and white vertical stripes, with varying stripe widths across the front and back. The design references Botafogo shirts from the 1940s and the period around the 1942 merger between Club de Regatas Botafogo and Botafogo Football Club, which created Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas.
A black V-neck collar with white trim is used at the neckline, accompanied by black sleeve cuffs with thin white striping. The Botafogo crest appears on the left chest in a black and white execution, while the Mizuno logo is positioned opposite. Main shirt sponsor Vbet is printed across the centre of the shirt in white with a black outline.
The jersey incorporates an exclusive jacquard fabric with subtle vertical texture and perforated detailing within the stripes. A small white star appears below the rear collar, and a commemorative “1942” label near the lower hem references the club’s foundation through the merger.
Additional detailing includes Japanese Mizuno branding near the lower front panel and a black-and-white woven authenticity label.
