Burnley Football Club and Castore have unveiled the Burnley 26/27 Away kit, developed with club co-owner JJ Watt for the the 2026–27 EFL Championship season.
Burnley Kit Design & Inspiration
The new Burnley jersey uses a cream base with narrow horizontal lines in claret and dark teal running across the body and sleeves. A subtle tonal pattern inspired by the stonework of Gawthorpe Hall is incorporated throughout the fabric, referencing the historic site used as Burnley’s training ground.
Dark teal and claret detailing is applied to the crew neckline and sleeve cuffs. Castore branding appears in claret on the right side of the chest, opposite a version of the Burnley crest worn between 1979 and 1983 and again from 1987 to 2009.
The heritage badge has been adapted to suit the Away shirt’s colour palette, retaining its traditional shield and supporting figures. Finotive One is displayed in claret across the centre as the principal shirt sponsor.
Further historical references appear inside the neckline, where a bespoke Burnley FC wordmark draws inspiration from matchday programme typography used during the 1960s and 1970s. The club’s founding year, “1882”, is printed in claret beneath the rear collar.
Technical Features
The Pro version of the home jersey uses ultra-lightweight Aertek fabric and includes a raised silicone, heat-sealed club crest.
Replica versions use a non-textured construction with a woven applique crest and Castore logo, with Castore’s Aertek technology also referenced on the lower front. A long-sleeve version of the home shirt will also be available to supporters.
Full Burnley Away Kit details
The new Burnley football shirt is available in short-sleeved and long-sleeved versions and is paired with claret shorts featuring the club crest and white Castore branding on opposite legs.
Cream socks complete the full Burnley Away kit, with dark teal upper cuffs, claret trim and coordinated horizontal lines. BFC lettering and Castore branding are positioned on the shin.
