Cambridge United have revealed their new 2025/26 Third shirt with Umbro, inspired by the discovery of DNA in Cambridge.
The black shirt features an embossed DNA double helix pattern across the front and back, finished with gold detailing on the collar, cuffs and stitching.
Self-fabric panels sit under the arms, and the phrase THE SECRET OF LIFE appears on the rear neck taping, a reference to Francis Crick’s 1953 announcement with James Watson.

Cambridge United’s new embroidered and embossed crest is on the left chest, with the Umbro logo on the right. Brooks Running, the club’s principal partner, features across the front in gold. Hill Group sponsor the back, FORA sponsor the sleeve, and Alan Boswell Group sponsor the back of the shorts.
The jersey is paired with matching black shorts and socks with gold accents to form a full kit.
