Carl Zeiss Jena have revealed a 2025 Special Edition jersey by Macron, a release that pays tribute to the club’s early identity as SC Motor Jena between 1954 and 1966. The new football kit will be worn in the fixture against Halleschen FC and forms part of a wider effort to acknowledge a period that delivered key milestones including the 1960 FDGB Cup triumph, a Europa Cup semi final appearance in 1962, and the 1963 GDR championship title.
The Carl Zeiss Jena football shirt features a white base combined with burgundy and gold detailing, referencing visual elements linked to the SC Motor Jena era. The front features fine vertical pinstripes and a large burgundy section across the chest, along with a central club badge redesigned to reflect the historic SC Motor Jena crest. The Macron logo appears above it in gold.
Additional gold elements are visible on the sleeves, where the Macron hero and ad hoc logos are applied. The main sponsor Autohaus König is presented on the front in burgundy, while the back of the shirt includes SC Motor Jena wording as well as a neck detail showing the year 1966 alongside a SC motif.
The shorts and socks follow the same colour direction, with white as the primary tone and supporting burgundy accents. Player name and numbering appear in burgundy on the back.
