Club Nacional de Football and Umbro have unveiled the Fourth Kit for the 2025 season, created to commemorate the centenary of the club’s famous European tour of 1925.
That year, Nacional became the first Uruguayan side to play in Europe, travelling for 190 days, visiting 23 cities, and competing in 38 matches. The team achieved 26 victories, 7 draws, and scored 130 goals, leaving a lasting mark on the history of South American football abroad.
The Umbro shirt is light blue, referencing the Uruguay national team that triumphed at the 1924 Olympics in Colombes, a side largely made up of Nacional players. It also recalls the white kit worn by Nacional during the 1925 tour, with red, white and blue detailing paying tribute to the club’s colours.
The design includes a special edition crest in a pocket-style format, replicating the typography and layout of the 1925 version. Inside the crest, there is a hidden print listing the matches, results, and goals from the tour. The collar and sleeve cuffs feature the club’s tricolour, while the inner neck tape bears the inscription that Nacional was the first Uruguayan club to play in Europe. On the back of the collar, “La Gira 1925 Más Grandiosa” is featured in recognition of the historic journey.
The shirt is completed with sponsors Antel, Assist Card, Directv and BBVA, along with a woven authenticity tag at the hem that depicts a map of the team’s European route, and will be paired with white shorts and matching socks.
