Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, who currently find themselves in Brazil’s Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, have unveiled their 2022-23 third (“3”) shirt.
This adidas release is in yellow with blue - the famous constellation crest and the German manufacturer’s branding - while the overlapping-V neck adds white.
The shirt, in its colouring and use of the southern cross as the main focal point, acts as a celebration of the country of Brazil and its national team with a World Cup on the horizon, while the reverse also includes a seal referring to the 200th anniversary of Brazilian independence.
Completing the kit, honouring the relationship between club and country - the former distancing themselves from their Italian roots in the 1940s - the shorts and socks will complement the look of the shirt whilst also nodding to the national football culture.
