Adidas and 1. FC Nürnberg have released a special edition football shirt celebrating the club’s European history as part of the wider 125 year anniversary programme. The adidas jersey was unveiled to members during the annual general meeting and will be worn in the home fixture against Bielefeld. A total of 9,000 shirts have been produced.
The 1. FC Nürnberg football shirt is presented in a black base with subtle detailing that highlights the club’s appearances in European competition. A set of 5 vertical glossy stripes runs through the centre of the shirt, symbolising the 5 tournament campaigns in the club’s history. These stripes are framed by the names of the cities where Nürnberg played their European fixtures, including Lisbon, Amsterdam, Larissa, Alkmaar, St Petersburg, Everton, Bucharest, Rome, Madrid, St Etienne, Dublin, and Odense.
The club crest appears on the chest with a commemorative 1900 to 2025 inscription. The adidas logo sits opposite, and the toolcraft sponsor branding is placed across the front in a tonal finish. Gold piping is used along the sleeves and side panels, matching the trim on the cuffs. A small pennant graphic featuring all of Nürnberg’s European campaigns is positioned on the upper back.
The Nürnberg kit is produced in the current adidas AEROREADY template and features the standard three stripe branding on the shoulders, and it is completed with matching black shorts and socks.
