This is the new Umbro Third shirt for famous Brazilian side Fluminense Football Club.
Honouring major figure in the culture of samba - and “Flu” fan - Cartola (Angenor de Oliveira), the 2023 secondary-change release is in the green and pink colours of (Estação Primeira de) Mangueira, the hugely successful samba school joint-founded by the late multidisciplinist.
Sublimated into the shirt are, in cursive font nodding to his handwriting, the lyrics to Cartola’s song “Corra e Olhe o Céu”, and his image appears on a seal near the hem, with the kit completed with green shorts and complementing socks.
