Forward Madison FC have unveiled a new pre-match top for the 2024 season in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Hummel design was created in collaboration with local artist Rodrigo Carapia, incorporating key elements from various Hispanic cultures. Central to the design are a pyramid and heart, symbolising the rich history of Latin America and the concept of “playing with heart.” The top also features birds representing different regions: the Andean Condor for South America, the Macaw for South and Central America, the Resplendent Quetzal for Central America, and the Golden Eagle for North America.
Additionally, the design includes Quetzalcóatl, an ancient Latin deity, and a Jaguar, Carapia’s signature. The sleeves and collar are adorned with flowers, paying homage to the Mexican textile tradition.
