Forward Madison FC have unveiled The Icebreaker, their 2025 away kit by hummel, inspired by the annual thawing of Madison’s lakes.
The design features a bold cracked ice pattern in shades of pink, blue, and white, symbolising the transition from winter to spring. Navy blue trim on the collar and cuffs provides contrast, while the club crest appears in full colour and the hummel logo appears in matching navy blue.
A Lady Liberty icon is printed on the back neck, paying tribute to the Pail & Shovel Party’s 1979 prank of placing a replica of the Statue of Liberty on frozen Lake Mendota. The club’s signature flamingo crest is another nod to the party’s legacy, which also led to Madison naming the plastic flamingo its official city bird in 2009.
