Gamba Osaka 2025 Hummel Loose Soccer Jersey

Gamba Osaka 2025 Hummel Loose Soccer Jersey

Hummel and Gamba Osaka have released a new lifestyle collection for 2025, marking their third season working together.

For the first time, the collection was developed in Denmark, Hummel’s home country, and reflects an external perspective on the Japanese club.

The capsule includes four items: a football jersey, a T-shirt, shorts, and sneakers. Each piece draws on Gamba Osaka’s identity, incorporating elements from the club’s kits, materials, and branding, with a nod to its football heritage.

A key item is the Loose Soccer Jersey. The design features a black and white base with bold vertical stripes and a tonal chevron pattern. The front displays Gamba’s mascot Moffrem at the centre chest, alongside the Hummel logo and a club crest adapted for this range. “SWARM INTERNATIONALS” appears across the middle as the shirt’s thematic sponsor.

The reverse includes the club’s slogan “BE THE HEAT, BE THE HEART,” also printed in katakana. “INTERNATIONALS” is placed near the hem. The collar and cuffs are finished with black and white striping.

Hummel’s latest shirt follows the path they opened with the Danish women’s national kit, drawing on the same clean, understated aesthetic. It feels like an attempt to create a future classic—there’s a gentle nod to retro without losing a modern edge.

The result definitely stands out from what most big brands are doing. That said, Danish minimalism can read as almost “too quiet” or "too lout" if you’re used to standard designs, so I imagine it may take time for supporters outside Scandinavia to warm to it.

Personally, I admire the courage to lean into this signature style, even if it won’t be everyone’s immediate favorite. It’s a distinctive move that could age well once people get used to its subtle‑first impressions.
