Genoa Cricket and Football Club and Kappa have unveiled the Genoa 26/27 Third kit, released on 7 September to coincide with the club’s 133rd anniversary and accompanied by a campaign exploring Genoa’s relationship with the city and the sea.
Genoa Kit Design & Inspiration
Drawing inspiration from the city’s maritime history and trading routes, the new Genoa jersey reworks the club’s traditional red and navy colours into horizontal hoops running across the front, back and short sleeves. A dark navy crew neckline and matching shoulder panels complete the upper section, with the technical fabric incorporating a subtle textured finish.
Gold detailing is used throughout the Genoa Third jersey. The Kappa Omini logo sits on the right chest, opposite a gold Griffin taken from the club crest used during the 1990s. Further gold Kappa branding appears on both sleeves, with the Ceres sponsor presented across the centre of the shirt in the same colour treatment.
A Union Jack is positioned centrally below the rear collar, providing another historical reference within the design and linking to the red and navy colours adopted by Genoa in 1901. The flag motif is also incorporated into the special player numbering available with the kit.
Technical Features
The shirt has a straight hem with small side openings and navy inserts at the lower edges. The KOMBAT technical construction is designed for match use, with a lightweight short-sleeved cut and performance-focused fit.
