Hummel and Halifax Wanderers FC have revealed the club's 2026 Home kit, introducing a black primary football shirt that references the historic Wanderers Amateur Athletic Club. Founded in 1882, the WAAC and its long association with Wanderers Grounds provided the inspiration for the club name and the heritage elements incorporated into the design.
The new Halifax Wanderers jersey features a black base with a repeating tonal pattern made up of the WAAC shield. The symbol incorporates the saltire and rampant lion elements from the flag of Nova Scotia, linking the shirt to the region’s historical identity. These crests are integrated subtly into the fabric to form a repeating motif across the front and sleeves.
The hummel logo appears on the right chest in aqua, positioned opposite the Halifax Wanderers crest, which features the Macdonald Bridge and stylised harbour waves within a star shaped badge. The Volkswagen shirt sponsor is printed prominently across the centre of the shirt in the same aqua colour.
A light aqua fold-over collar and sleeve cuffs provide contrast against the black base. Hummel chevrons run along the shoulders in matching aqua, continuing the manufacturer’s traditional football kit detailing.
On the upper back beneath the collar, a vintage Wanderers emblem referencing the original club heritage appears as an additional detail. The new Halifax Wanderers football shirt will be worn with coordinated black shorts and socks during the 2026 Canadian Premier League season.
