As part of Denmark-based supplier Hummel’s “Change the World Through Sport” initiative, Japanese J2 League side JEF United Ichihara Chiba have a new “Braille” shirt for 2023.
The green-and-yellow design features a pattern of overlapping palms - giving the impression of fans in JEF’s Fukuda Denshi Arena ground and the locally familiar rapeseed fields - and the base is overlaid with braille detailing instead of or complementing script.
The inclusivity-focused release will see a percentage of proceeds from its sales put towards support for the visually impaired.
