Kappa have announced the Kombat 2000 25th Anniversary Collection, marking 25 years since the original Kombat shirt transformed football kit design. The brand has released the first images from the campaign, with each shirt set to be revealed individually over the coming weeks.

First introduced at Euro 2000 with the Italian national team, the Kombat jersey’s tight, elastic construction set new standards for fit and performance, influencing the design of modern football shirts.

The new Kombat XXV series reinterprets that legacy with updated materials and refined detailing, combining performance innovation with historical significance. The anniversary release includes special shirts for seventeen clubs: Genoa CFC, CR Vasco da Gama, Athens Kallithea FC, GD Estoril Praia, Racing Club, CA Aldosivi, Spezia Calcio, Red Star FC, Empoli FC, CD Nacional Funchal, ACF Fiorentina, CA Tigre, OGC Nice, Real Valladolid CF, Aris Thessaloniki FC, FC Vizela, and Deportivo de La Coruña.

Each shirt is presented in a sealed, foil-style bag reminiscent of collectible trading card packs, highlighting its limited-edition nature. The packaging underlines the concept of collectability, with every shirt treated as a unique release within the broader anniversary set.
