Leyton Orient 2024 Puma Somme Memorial Shirt

Leyton Orient 2024 Puma Somme Memorial Shirt

This is the new special-edition Leyton Orient “Somme Memorial Shirt” by Puma.

Released to commemorate the then “Clapton Orient”’s contribution to the Allies’ endeavours in the First World War/World War I, including players Richard McFadden, George Scott and William Jonas making the ultimate sacrifice in the Battle of the Somme, the white shirt with a red chevron/V is a nod to that worn by the London side in 1914.

The Puma logos are white on white/whiteout and the shirt, limited to 1,000 units, features a special crest with the legend “17th Bn Middlesex Regiment (Footballers’ Battalion)” and will be worn in a pre-season friendly against Scotland’s Heart of Midlothian - Hearts - this summer.

Disgusting having a shirt that glorifies the systematic slaughter of Scots and Irish in the "Great War".

What's so great about war anyway? The Brits are weird and jingoistic bunch of island dwellers.
