Liverpool FC and adidas have released their new third kit for the 25/26 season, marking the return of the partnership with a design inspired by one of the most memorable eras in the club’s history.
The adidas shirt is presented in a sea green base with subtle tonal stripes. It features the adidas Originals Trefoil on the right chest, returning to an LFC kit for the first time in almost 35 years, while the left chest carries the Liverbird crest in the style used between 1987 and 1992.
The shirt features Standard Chartered as the main sponsor and Expedia on the sleeve, with a white crew collar and cuffs trimmed in thin black, and the 97 emblem with the eternal flames at the back of the neck in tribute to those who lost their lives at Hillsborough.
The kit is completed with white shorts with sea green adidas stripes and matching sea green socks marked with “LFC” and the Trefoil. Multiple versions of the shirt are available, including short sleeve, long sleeve and a cropped option. Alongside the outfield kit, the release includes an all black goalkeeper shirt and a supporting training and lifestyle range, which features apparel, accessories and footwear such as the LFC Gazelle trainer.
