The German 2. Bundesliga’s 1. FC Magdeburg have unveiled this special new shirt to mark the 50th anniversary of their 1974 European Cup Winners’ Cup win.
On 8th May a half-century ago, Der Club became the first East German/GDR club to win a European title and it was never repeated, so they now have a commemorative Hummel release in white with an Ajax-style central vertical stripe in blue to nod to and celebrate that iconic victory over AC Milan.
Partner/sponsor logos, other than that of Hummel, have been held off this release - for reasons of historical adherence - and the shirt is limited to 4,600 units and comes packaged in a special presentation box.
