Manchester City 24/25 Puma Home Kit

Manchester City 24/25 Puma Home Kit

Manchester City, of the English Premier League, have unveiled their 2024-25-season Puma Home shirt.

The new primary design for the “Cityzens” is in “Team Light Blue” with “Marine Blue” trim that includes stylised renderings of Greater Manchester’s “0161” dialling code as - at least ostensibly - a reference to the club’s local origins, but it may also be nodding to a famous 6-1 victory over rivals Man United at Old Trafford.

Partner/sponsor branding appears in white, the crest is in full colour and the kit will be completed with white shorts and socks in the aforementioned “Marine Blue” (navy).

It's actually not bad looking and a nice collar design. The number reference is a crock of **** but all kit designers are coming up with increasingly vague 'culture references' to clubs these days. I think the current Adidas and Nike efforts are so poor this is actually pretty good. I think the smaller firms are producing better, more 'sane' and traditional kit designs these days. See Crewe for example.

I like it. The "marine" touches actually make me think more of the 5-1 game from 89 not the 6-1 game. Not a a City fan. But i am of a certain age to remember that Maine Road mauling?

Quite like the kit although the marketing of 0161 is a bit irritating.

Using a dialling code for a design on a football shirt has got to be up there with some of the daftest ideas of all time.

I think it's an excuse to rub it in with the scoreline double reference lol. Odd choice though. Running out of ideas are all kit designers now.

Another poor kit from Puma. Not just City other teams too. Seriously need an overhaul in their design team.
