Matsumoto Yamaga 2024 Adidas Summer Shirt

Matsumoto Yamaga Football Club, who play in Japan’s J3 League, have unveiled this “Summer” shirt.

In tones of brown and black - with red trim and partner/sponsor logos in white - this latest 2024 release from adidas is being marketed as signifying the change in colouring made in summer by the ptarmigan, or “thunder bird”, that gives the “Gans” their nickname.

The kit, which will be worn in two matches, will be completed with black shorts and brown socks.

Worn for just two games? What is the point then if it is to be consigned to the history books so quickly afterwards?
