Motherwell FC 2022-23 Macron Home Kit

Motherwell FC revealed their new 22/23 Home kit, a modern take on a 1980’s classic, 40 years on.

With vertical claret bands and the amber front and centre, it features the club's refreshed badge on it for the first time.

Across the edges of each vertical panel, Macron have a subtle pattern going across the edges to modernise the classic look and feel of the top.

The shorts are made up of claret, with amber stripes going down each side. The amber socks also come with three claret bands at the top.

Paycare will again be the main sponsor as they continue to raise awareness of a vital message close to the club’s heart, with North Lanarkshire Suicide Prevention on the sleeve for another season.

TCL will also remain the main sponsor on the shorts.

I mean, it's based on the Motherwell kit from 40 years ago... https://www.motherwellnet.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/4th_december_1982_aberdeen.jpg

Something doesn't sit right for me with this one-The sponsor for starters really clashes with the retro look of the shirt and it feels like it is just trying way too hard to impress.
The shorts are way too modern in design to match up with the concept of the shirt and this makes it seem half hearted.

Really like that.
Also brings back fond memories of that Patrick template, My team Rotherham used that one too.

The shirt is great, but.....
If you're going to have a stripe going from the armpit to the shorts, and a stripe continuing down the shorts, then they need to be the same size. It looks messy and amateurish with the wider stripe on the shorts, and really spoils the effect. It's typical of Macron to take something good and balls it up.

Nice, classic styling. I think Macron are actually quite good kitmakers now. Over the past few years they have upped their game.

Hard to make those colours look good together but a decent enough effort.

I think claret and amber go extremely well together.

This kit although... the stripes on the side of the shirt and the shorts are too busy. And amber should be the main shirt colour for Motherwell, so inverted colours would be much better.
