Giants of French football Olympique de Marseille (“l’OM”) have unveiled this shirt paying tribute to the club’s connections with Africa.
With a multicoloured allover print influenced by African culture, the nominally white new 2024 release - constructed locally by “FIL ROUGE” - carries the logo of supplier Puma and the crest in white, black and gold and there is a special “OM Africa” patch on the right sleeve.
The shirt also carries the number 13 on the reverse, referring to the classification of the Bouches-du-Rhône “département” that the city of Marseille is the “préfecture” of.
