German 2. Bundesliga side Verein für Leibesübungen (VfL) Osnabrück have unveiled this 125th-anniversary shirt to celebrate today’s landmark birthday.
Nodding to the club's history since the 17th April 1999 foundation, the moment focused on for this Capelli Sport retro release is the adoption of purple and white colours in the 1920s - a century ago - with the cartwheel symbol of the city of Osnabrück, from the coat of arms, on the chest.
The collared shirts will be worn, with white shorts and black socks to form a kit, against Eintracht Braunschweig this weekend, with the goalkeeper wearing a black shirt with an enlarged central crest.
