The 2023 "For Philly" away kit of the Philadelphia Union was recently revealed, featuring a pattern inspired by the team's 2019 playoff run.
This year marked the first time the franchise had ever won an MLS Cup Playoff, and the Union Creative Collective (UCC), composed of season ticket holders, super fans, media members, and Union employees, collaborated with the Union and Adidas to create a modern version of the 2019 playoff pattern.
The new jersey pays tribute to the club's pivotal moment in a fresh and creative way by changing the tonal blues to a gold and signal blue colour scheme and adding a new artistic texture and signature "Philly grit." In addition, a single-colour snake from the badge was added to the kit, replacing the traditional crest, and the front of the jersey now features Thomas' as the primary sponsor.

This marks the first time that the Union has featured two logos on their secondary kit and one of the few MLS clubs to opt for a simplified mark instead of a crest.
