RC Lens 2022-23 Puma Home Kit

This is the new Racing Club de Lens Home shirt by Puma.

The 2022-23 primary design for the fervently supported French Ligue 1 side is in the standard “sang et or” (blood and gold, or, more accurately, red and yellow) with pinstripe embellishment in the “sang” (red).

Nodding to a style of shirt worn during the 1980s, the design features a yellow band which houses the full-colour crest and Puma’s black cat logo - matching the neck insert and the cuffs - while the shoulders and sleeves are red.

The small amount of white which features on the aforementioned crest is joined by the bulk of the main sponsor logo, and the shirt - which includes “dryCELL” technology and has been produced using recycled materials - will form a kit with shorts and socks which match/tie in.

My thoughts are that it is trying to be more of a 'Street fashion' style shirt than an actual Football top. It doesn't get that balance right for me.
If it stopped being trendy and struck the right tone it may have worked out.

Nice, but points knocked off for that neckline, not a fan, especially with the little black tab

Did you ever play sensible soccer? This team would have been called ketchup and mustard FC.

Not very nice at all. A 'Dwayne' of a shirt.

Too much going on with this and it will be 10 times worse when they cover it in sponsors

Good color balance, but the design feels a bit clunky compared to what Lens has worn in the past.
