This is the special edition “Sainte-Barbe” Racing Club de Lens shirt for 2023-24.
This kit honours the rich tradition of Saint Barbara, the miners', firefighters', and pyrotechnicians' protector, with a design that marries innovation with historical reverence. Adorned in a deep green and accented with gold, the jersey features distinctive, hand-drawn-style graphics that embody the spirit of the Sainte-Barbe festival, observed every 4th of December.
Key symbols, including Saint Barbara's tower, a stained-glass portrait, slag heaps, a miner's lamp, and the "Sainte-Barbe" inscription, adorn the front, encapsulating the region's mining heritage. In celebration of the Bollaert-Delelis stadium's 90th anniversary, the back of the shirt is embellished with the years “1933 – 2023,” a stadium pictogram, and Félix Bollaert's name.
