U.C. Sampdoria and Macron have introduced the Sampdoria 26/27 Doria kit, completing a two-shirt collection created for the club’s 80th anniversary season.
Sampdoria Kit Design & Inspiration
The special release recognises Ginnastica Andrea Doria, one of the two Genoese clubs that merged in 1946 to form Unione Calcio Sampdoria. Its historic colours are represented through a split navy blue and white construction across the front of the new Sampdoria jersey.
The two colours are reversed across the sleeves, creating a quartered arrangement associated with Andrea Doria. A white knitted polo collar is added at the neckline, accompanied by coordinated white and navy sleeve cuffs.
Macron Hero branding appears on the right chest, with the specially adapted Sampdoria crest positioned opposite. A shield carrying the red Cross of St George, a symbol of Genoa, is applied near the centre of the lower front. The principal shirt sponsor is placed across the chest in a colour treatment that changes against the navy and white sections.
A tonal pattern featuring Sampdoria’s 80th anniversary emblem covers the darker panels. The graphic combines the number 80, a laurel wreath and club-related symbols, adding commemorative detailing directly into the fabric.
Further anniversary references include the 80th-year symbol beneath the back collar and internal hem tape carrying the dates 1946 and 2026 alongside representations of the trophies won by Sampdoria.
Technical Features
Macron has used Eco Poly Piquet for the shirt, made from 100 per cent recycled polyester sourced from post-consumer plastic. An Eco Micromesh back panel and Eco Mesh inserts support ventilation, reduce weight and improve comfort.
