Southend United 25/26 Macron Home Kit

Southend United 25/26 Macron Home Kit

Southend United have unveiled their 25/26 Home Kit by Macron, commemorating 70 years at Roots Hall.

The new shirt maintains the club’s traditional navy colour and features seven darker vertical stripes down the front, each representing a decade spent at their home ground. A local map is subtly incorporated on the lower back of the shirt, with the coordinates of Roots Hall placed on the left hip.

The design is finished with striped yellow and navy trim on the collar and sleeve cuffs, while the club crest appears in a raised silicone style on the chest.

The kit features c2c as the main front sponsor, with BTMK Solicitors on the upper back, D2 Design & Build on the sleeve, and Nelmo and Co. Accountants on the shorts.

The full kit includes matching navy shorts and white socks, complemented by black detailing, consistent with the shirt's colour scheme.

My thoughts exactly. I mean, Southend ripping off Oxford United on their away kit. Now they this home kit is inspired by Wimbledon's Premier League era shirt from the late 90s.

There's are loads upon loads of clubs that have literally ripped each other kit designs from the inception of football. Look at the amount of clubs who have used the aston villa template, the red and white stripes top with black shorts template, the navy shorts white top template, the black and white stripes template, etc i could go on probably. I dont think this is a direct rip off, although yes its highly similiar, but even then wimbledon always had navy socks in the 90s and didnt always have the yellow collar or cuffs

It would make more sense with blue or yellow socks. With white it looks like they have forgotten the proper socks and had to borrow some

Point of order… Southend United switched to navy blue at the turn of the 20th century. Twenty-five years is hardly long enough to call navy blue their traditional colours. Besides, traditional implies they began life in navy blue. They did not. Only one English club can claim navy blue as their traditional colours and that is Millwall, thanks to the large number of Scots in their first team.

Great kit though & hopefully they get back into the Football League wearing it!

The white socks are a mismatch I think. Yellow socks would have been better.
