Udinese Calcio and Macron have revealed a 2025/26 commemorative football shirt dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Friuli earthquake, referencing both the impact of the disaster and the reconstruction that followed.
The new Udinese shirt is presented in a stone-toned base, with an all-over sublimated graphic that reproduces the texture and structure of the Venzone Cathedral façade. This visual reference reflects the rebuilding process in which original stones were recovered and reassembled. Across the front, the inscription “Il Friuli ringrazia e non dimentica” is printed in black, positioned centrally and reproduced in a handwritten style linked to messages seen in the aftermath of the earthquake.
The Macron football shirt features a V-neck collar with black and white trim, while the sleeve cuffs are asymmetrical, with one cuff fully black. The fabric includes tonal V-shaped elements created through sublimation, aligning with the Udinese crest and architectural references across the design. The Udinese Calcio crest appears on the left chest in a vintage format, with the Macron logo applied opposite.
On the reverse, the back neck reads “Friuli 1976–2026”, referencing the anniversary period. Inside the collar, a red label includes Friulian symbolism and references to “L’Orcolat”, a term associated locally with the earthquake.
The Udinese Calcio special kit is produced using recycled polyester Eco Fabric, aligning with Macron’s sustainability approach. Shirt sponsors are absent from the design to maintain the commemorative focus.
