Universitario de Deportes have unveiled their 2026 Third Kit by Marathon Sports, to be worn across domestic competition and the CONMEBOL Libertadores as part of the club’s alternate match wardrobe.
Kit Design & Inspiration
Inspired by Peru’s chicha art, the new Universitario jersey features a black base with neon detailing applied throughout the shirt. A gradient collar combines bright green, yellow and pink tones, with matching accents running down the side panels. The Marathon logo and Universitario crest appear on the chest in a luminous green finish.
Across the fabric, a tonal graphic pattern incorporates phrases associated with the club, reflecting supporter culture and identity built over more than 100 years. These include references such as “Tricampeón” (three-time champion), “El Más Campeón” (the most champion or most successful) and “El Único Grande” (the only great one), alongside other expressions commonly heard in the stands.
Additional details include a small graphic at the upper back and a woven label near the lower hem featuring “Por Siempre Universitario” (Forever Universitario).
Universitario Shirt Sponsors
Sponsor branding appears across the front and sleeves in a coordinated fluorescent green finish, standing out against the black base. The main sponsor, “apuesta total”, is placed centrally on the chest, with “Jetour” positioned across the upper chest and “marathon” applied beneath. Additional partner logos, including “movistar”, feature on the sleeves, maintaining a consistent colour treatment that aligns with the overall visual identity of the shirt.
Full Universitario Third Kit details
The new Universitario football shirt is manufactured using Marathon’s Hidrotec technology, designed to support moisture management, airflow and on-pitch performance during matches, and will be paired with matching black shorts and socks to form the full secondary away kit for the 2026 Liga 1 season in Peru.
