West Bromwich Albion 2026-27 Away Kit by Macron Revealed

West Bromwich Albion 26/27 Macron Away Kit

West Bromwich Albion FC have unveiled their 26/27 away kit by Macron for the 2026-27 EFL Championship season.

West Brom Kit Design & Inspiration

Inspired by the Black Country, the new West Brom away shirt features a red base with tonal graphic detailing across the front and back, referencing the region’s map. A darker red central section runs through the body, with further geometric sections worked into the lower front and rear.

Black detailing is used on the collar, sleeve cuffs and side panels, with thin white trim added to the neck and cuffs. The Macron Hero appears on the right chest in white, opposite a monochrome West Bromwich Albion crest on the left. Ideal Heating remains the main shirt sponsor.

The back of the shirt includes a black panel below the collar, carrying the WBA initials in white. Inside the neck, the back-neck label features West Bromwich Albion colours, the club logo, Macron branding and the wording “Designed in Bologna”.

Red is not really a west brom colour, other than the berries that is under the bird. Overall, a good kit, i just would't accommodate it with a team like west brom. This kit reminds me of 'bigger' or well known teams like Man United.

Then you do not know The Albion. West Bromwich Albion first wore a predominately red shirt as an alternate/away strip during the 1885–86 season. While they wore various colours in their early years, the club's very first dedicated red-based away kit featured broad red and blue stripes. Statistically teams that wear red as a first kit are more successful. Albion were founders of the football league but have only won the FA cup five times and been in ten finals. Do you mean associate, when you wrote accommodate?

Good idea, bad execution. The whole point of the Black Country Flag is lost on the design.

It misses the entire history of our area, and just pretends to understand what it was like in 1878.

Red has been a change strip choice for many years. It is described as the away kit, leading to speculation as to whether there will be a yellow and green striped change kit. A fans favourite since the 1970's. As for the design, the glasswork chimney shape creates stripes of a sort. Albeit in a school science lesson glass beaker shape. Some nice detailing. Personally I would like more black and white on the kit to tie it in further with the Backcountry flag. My first thoughts are that it is average but may grow on me. Macron are not so bold as to design the home kit in the same template but navy and white, are they?
