Wolves 150th Anniversary Home Kit

Wolverhampton Wanderers 26/27 SUDU Home Kit

Wolverhampton Wanderers and SUDU have unveiled the Wolves 26/27 Home Kit, created as part of the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations and featuring the return of the Wolverhampton city coat of arms to the shirt for the first time in more than three decades.

Wolves Kit Design & Inspiration

The Wolves 150th Anniversary Jersey reconnects the club with one of the most recognisable symbols from its history. The city coat of arms replaces the modern Wolves badge on the chest, referencing shirts worn during significant periods of the club’s past, including the 1960 FA Cup-winning campaign. The crest last appeared on Wolves shirts between 1993 and 1996 and returns as a tribute to the club’s relationship with the city and its supporters.

The shirt is presented in a old gold colour selected through a supporter vote involving almost 10,000 fans. The winning shade reflects the gold associated with Wolves kits from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Black detailing appears on the V-neck collar, sleeve cuffs, manufacturer logos and front sponsor branding.

A bespoke tonal pattern is woven throughout the fabric using a custom two-colour filament yarn construction developed by SUDU. The all-over graphic draws inspiration from elements of the Wolverhampton coat of arms and incorporates repeating heraldic motifs across the front, back and sleeves. The textured design is integrated directly into the material rather than applied as a surface print.

World Cup Kits

The Wolverhampton city coat of arms is rendered in a satin-stitched woven application, while a dedicated WW150 anniversary mark is positioned beneath the rear collar to commemorate the club’s sesquicentennial season.

Full Wolves 150 Years Kit details

The new Wolves FC shirt is paired with old gold shorts featuring black detailing and matching old gold socks with black horizontal bands, completing the club's anniversary home kit for the 2026–27 EFL Championship season.

The accompanying goalkeeper shirt is finished in green and carries the same woven coat of arms-inspired pattern found on the home jersey. A black fold-over collar, striped sleeve cuffs, black branding and the Wolverhampton city coat of arms complete the anniversary goalkeeper design.

Far too busy with the pattern being recycled as the pattern for the shirt. Doing so really removes that special something from both.

Classic crest + minimalist kit and maybe a retro inspired collar 🤌🏻

Understated modern crest + classic crest pattern 👍🏻

This just doesn't do it for me...

How? The pattern used on the shirt is parts of the Wolverhampton crest which was created in the late 1800’s, it’s quite simple to create a pattern without using ai.

Looks like a kit they wore when they hit rock bottom in the 1980's.
