Wrexham Association Football Club and Macron have unveiled the Wrexham 26/27 Home kit during the club’s summer tour of the United States.
Wrexham Kit Design & Inspiration
The new Wrexham jersey retains the club’s traditional red base, with slightly darker red panels across the shoulders and upper sleeves. White bands extend from the neckline along the shoulders and sleeves, accompanied by a white V-neck collar and coordinated striped cuffs.
A tonal pattern runs throughout the jersey, based on the safety barriers previously used on the Kop at the Racecourse Ground. The Macron Hero is positioned in white on the right side of the chest, opposite the embroidered Wrexham crest, with Firefox displayed across the centre as the principal shirt sponsor.
Further references to the Racecourse Ground appear throughout the shirt. A silicone transfer near the lower-left hem reproduces a street sign reading “Racecourse Ground, LL11, Wrexham”. Beneath the rear collar, six white flags spell “CAE RAS”, the Welsh name for the stadium, alongside the club’s foundation year, 1864.
Inside the lower hem, a tonal graphic depicts the Gresford Colliery Memorial and the number 266, commemorating those who died in the 1934 mining disaster. Internal tape carries the bilingual message “OUR GROUND, OUR SPIRIT – EIN TIR, EIN HYSBRYD”.
Technical Features
Produced using Macron’s Eco Fabric technology, the Wrexham AFC Home kit is made entirely from polyester sourced from recycled plastic. The shirt uses lightweight Eco Softlock fabric, developed for professional matchwear to provide durability, tear resistance and comfort during play.
