Adidas has reissued the Belgium 1986 Home jersey, bringing back the long-sleeved red shirt associated with the national team’s 1986 FIFA World Cup campaign in Mexico.
The Belgium 1986 Home Reissue Jersey features a red base with a tonal diagonal jacquard pattern running across the front, sleeves and back. The repeated graphic is worked into the fabric, giving the shirt a textured finish while keeping the overall colour scheme focused on Belgium’s traditional red.
A red fold-over collar sits above a V-shaped neckline, with long sleeves finished with ribbed cuffs. Yellow, red and black adidas shoulder stripes run from the collar area down the sleeves, referencing the colours of the Belgian flag. The yellow Trefoil logo is positioned on the right chest, while the Belgian crest appears on the left chest with a shield design in black, yellow and red.
The reissue keeps the regular fit and long-sleeved construction of the original Belgium football shirt, with the same all-over tonal pattern continuing across the back.
During the 1986 World Cup, Belgium reached the semi-finals after victories over the Soviet Union and Spain, before finishing 4th in the tournament.
