German sportswear giants adidas have unveiled this retro-styled shirt for famous Buenos Aires-based Argentine Primera División side Club Atlético Boca Juniors.
The classically styled and Trefoil-carrying throwback “1993 Jersey” is in “Hi-Res Blue” and “Crew Yellow” - to represent Boca’s Azul y Oro (Blue and Gold) alias - has a shield crest and three stripes running from the collar to the cuffs on the long sleeves, and the central contrast band is present and correct too, and devoid of a sponsor.
The leisurewear-focused release suggests, with reasonable accuracy, the “Xeneize” playing shirt from 31 years ago, and it evokes memories of the mid-1990s, particularly the 1993 Copa de Oro triumph.
