Adidas has released the Japan Home Long Sleeve Jersey 1993, bringing back one of the most recognisable Japan football shirt designs from the early 1990s.
It revives the blue long-sleeve adidas style associated with the period around Japan’s 1992 Asian Cup success and the launch of the J.League.
The reissue features a bright blue base with a fold-over polo collar and a V-shaped front opening. Across the front, a large white diagonal graphic is combined with thin blue line detailing and red angular shapes, continuing onto the shoulders, sleeves and back. The rear of the shirt carries a matching diagonal pattern across the upper section, while the lower back remains largely plain blue.
The front includes the white adidas Trefoil logo on the right chest and a vintage-style Japan Football Association crest on the left chest. A small Japan flag detail appears on the sleeve.
Made in a regular fit, the long-sleeve jersey includes ribbed cuffs, a straight hem and textured fabric with a lightweight finish.
