The adidas Mexico 1986 Home Reissue jersey has been officially released as part of the brand’s ongoing programme of heritage football shirts, revisiting one of the most significant tournaments in international football history. The Mexico jersey recreates the home shirt worn by the Mexican national team during the 1986 World Cup, staged on home soil.
The reissue appears in a solid green base, constructed using a textured mesh fabric that reflects the material characteristics of the original era. A white fold over collar with a V style insert defines the neckline, matched by white detailing along the shoulders where the adidas three stripes are applied. Short sleeves and a standard cut deliver a traditional silhouette consistent with mid-1980s international kits.
On the chest, the embroidered Mexico national team crest is positioned on the left side, paired with the adidas Trefoil logo opposite. The reverse accommodates name and number application, with period-style numbering. A Climalite 2000 label appears on the sleeve, referencing adidas performance technology from the era.
This Mexico football shirt forms part of a wider adidas’ Bring Back Collection of officially licensed national team releases from the Americas, produced with authorisation from the Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia.
