Peru 1978 Adidas Reissue Home Jersey

Peru 1978 Adidas Reissue Home Jersey

adidas has released a reissue of the iconic Peru Home shirt worn at the 1978 World Cup.

The design stays true to the original with its white base and red sash running from the left shoulder to the right hip.

The long-sleeve shirt includes a white fold-over collar with a V-neck opening. The classic Adidas Trefoil logo is placed on the right chest, while the Federación Peruana de Fútbol (FPF) crest appears large and stitched on the left. Red three-stripe detailing runs down both sleeves, matching the sash and crest accents, while the number 10 on the back is made from a black leatherette-style material.

Made from soft piqué fabric, this retro release is intended for everyday wear rather than professional play, capturing the key elements of the shirt worn by the Peruvian national team in Argentina in 1978.

It is the best shirt ever seen on a football field. Huge badge with that block lettering, massive red sash, lovely adidas stripes and white flappy collar. Only way to improve this reissue would have been an even flappier collar.

I had the Subbuteo team back in the late 70s, best team and kit design by a country mile 👍

Another 'reissue', why? Because they have run out of ideas, that's why. The Peruvian shirt and its red sash is one of the most iconic shirts out there. This is intended for 'everyday wear', where ? In Tesco? This whole 'reissue', 'pre match gear' and now a 'fourth shirt' nonsense is an utter scam.
