Portsmouth FC fans and retro football shirt fans alike can now purchase a reissuing of Pompey’s 1978-80 Home shirt.
With a plain-blue base and white trim bedecked in supplier-of-the-time Admiral’s Royal Navy ranking-style logos, the design is an archetypal example of the famous brand’s pioneering heyday.
For Portsmouth specifically, this style of shirt, with matching white collar and cuffs, was worn as the English South Coast side began their climb back up the divisions, eventually returning to the top flight in 1987.
